Radweg Kaisersesch- Maifeld
Description
From Kaisersesch via the medieval Pyrmont Castle to the Maifeld cycle path.
Another section of the Eifel slate cycle trail runs for approx. 17 kilometers over the heights of the Eifel. Starting in Kaisersesch, the route leads past the Roman tower via Hambuch, Zettingen, Kaifenheim, Brachtendorf to the Swan Church near Roes. The route leads along a beautiful, slightly hilly natural landscape and provides a connection to the cycle paths to the Maifeld and the Moselle.
From Roes, the route leads via the Pyrmont farms to the medieval Pyrmont Castle. From here, the cycle path runs uphill parallel to the K 35 to Pillig. On this ride from the castle to Pillig, there are gradients of 6-10% to contend with.
From Pillig, the cycle path leads along the L110 to Naunheim. From here, you have the option of cycling along a beautifully laid out cycle path - on a former railroad line - in the direction of Mayen, Ochtendung or Münstermaifeld.
