Moselsteig - Etappe 19
Description
A detour into time and space
The Moselsteig Trail is very varied here, offering worthwhile detours, e.g. to a rushing waterfall in the Dortebachtal nature reserve with its exotic-looking microclimate or to one of the many refreshment stops along the way. Directly on the Moselsteig Trail, the Martberg Archaeology Park invites you to travel back in time to the faithfully reconstructed buildings of the former Celtic-Roman mountain sanctuary. But this stage also has a lot to offer in terms of scenery; the trail leads through beautiful high forest, through vineyards up to the Eifel community of Kail and makes its way through the stream valleys before finally reaching the stage destination of Treis-Karden.
